Burlington, Vermont, is home to a thriving arts community, several institutions of higher learning, and people with an equal passion for the great outdoors and the wonders in the pages of a good book. Erik E. Esckilsen, a native Burlingtonian, is one of those people. He's the author of three novels for young readers, dozens of articles on art and culture, short stories, plays, screenplays, and multimedia narratives combining film, music and text. He has played in bands named after Angry Neighbors and after the noble but near-sighted sea cow.
