ARTICLES Erik E. Esckilsen is a journalist, novelist, and college writing teacher based in Burlington, Vermont. As a journalist specializing in the arts, he has written and edited articles for such publications as the Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, Bostonia, the Burlington Free Press, Entertainment Weekly, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, and Seven Days. His debut novel for young adult readers, The Last Mall Rat, was published by Houghton Mifflin in April 2003, and a second novel, Offsides, came out in fall 2004.
